This recipe is for a special occasion like Thanksgiving. Although it’s loaded with calories, your taste buds will bow down and thank you for this cheat day!
5 lbs russet potatoes
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup whole milk or 2 percent
1Tbsp of kosher salt
2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
Get out your Tatergator and peel away!
Rinse potatoes and dice evenly. About ½ to ¾ inch pieces. In a large 5 quart pot place a steaming basket in the pot and fill the pot with water to the top of the steaming basket and boil. Place evenly diced potatoes on top of the basket and cover and continue boil until tender. About 20 minutes.
Once tender, drain the potatoes in a colander and combine all ingredients with drained potatoes and beat until smooth. Yum! When you steam potatoes instead of boiling the flavor is so much better…you will see!
